This discount rate is calculated by the ounce and is rounded up to the nearest whole ounce (e.g. If your letter weighs 1.2 oz, you will be charged the 2 oz. rate).This ZIEIS digital scale also offers you twice the accuracy needed to weigh letters (USPS rates are calculated in 1 oz increments - this scales accuracy is 0.5 oz)USPS packages that weigh over 13 ounces will be shipped at 1 pound via USPS Priority Mail rates.
